The 1000 Miles challenge

2016 was a great year. I raced more events than I ever did in a year, including my first Marathon. I became a 2016 running Ambassador for Decathlon Southampton, started being supported by Herbalife24, won a couple of online competitions, was voted UKrunchat August Community member of the month and my blog has been nominated for the 2016 Running Awards.

Now how is 2017 looking so far? Only 2 races entered so far. Southampton Marathon in April (place won in a UKrunchat competition) and Great South Run in October. I will register for other events as time goes by, as I’m not sure what events I want to run, except one, RTTK (Race To The Kings), which would be my first Ultra.

Now, today, I bought the latest Trail Running magazine. If you have never read it, get yourself a copy, it’s great!

They have a great competition and challenge for anyone to join. Running 1000 miles in 2017!

In 2016, I ran about (without checking) 750 Miles. I did aim to run more this year which I think I should, running (and training) for my second Marathon and hopefully my first Ultra. Having this challenge will most definitely help me reach this target of 1000 Miles.

I’m starting my Marathon training plan this week and I cannot wait! I’m actually buzzing for it to start, get those Miles in my legs and of course add them towards this challenge.

So why not join me! Register at http://www.trailrunning.co.uk and post your pictures and runs using #Run1000miles

Good luck!
