Pre Christmas training

As mentioned in my last training post, I am now back in training. With the air temperature going up again, 13c was recorded on the south coast a week before Christmas, which is a bit strange but no one is complaining, although the wish of a white Christmas is truly gone!

So what’s happened training wise? To be honest, it hasn’t been my best fortnight. Too much time spent getting ready for Christmas and a couple of nights celebrating it! But that’s OK right? It’s that time of the year…… and great excuse!

50651-Its-Christmas-TimeI still managed to complete 6h of running, including a 16km trail & road run, 1h30 on the Turbo followed by a 10mins brick session. But no strength training done! Catching up to do there.

So not much done, but if it counts, I have also probably spent 5h thinking of my june Ironman 70.3 training plan starting after the festivities, including what events to enter prior to it. Southampton half marathon already booked in April. First event of the year, apart from Park runs, will be the Romsey 10k end of January.

Have a good Christmas everyone !
